And, after close inspection...we're not even sure if my base should have been in G-stock anyway...apparantly the 2004 rules made it so that the SH and the base 5th gen prelude were in the same class? (which, IMO, is kinda b*s, since the base doesn't have ATTS like the SH's....) *shrug* doesn't matter now...it's STS for me.

and yeah, i can't even IMAGINE you guys w/ a lil alcohol in your systems....i was pretty sure Gil and Alan had a flask in that truck SOMEwhere...those guys are nuts!
We're a pretty loose club. We really don't care if a novice shows up and doesn't know which class they are supposed to be in. Now when it's blatant and the person has been autocrossing for a couple of years - that's different.

Now personally I don't drink (long story) but watching everyone else is very funny

Oh and the SH and base model are in the same class because the base model is lighter (without the ATTS) which cancels out the effect that it doesn't have the ATTS. The SH with the ATTS is much heavier hence both cars run the same 1/4 miles times, right?

There is a ladies class for every class. You should see a National list. It's HUGE!

Mindy I know you weren't trying to get away with anything, but you should tell tech people what is on the car. Springs and shocks are hard to see and most people can't see them. Unless it is blatantly obvious they ignore it, they got pissed at my headers even though they were stock. EX headers without the heatshield on look like aftermarket headers. So I had to explain that my heatshield was busted.

Anyway sucks that you are leaving, have fun in TX.
It is not tech's job to class her. It is the owner & other competitors in the class to determine if you are all follow the rules of the class.

So technically Sean you were illegal for HS

How was I illegal for HS? Exhaust is still a catback exhaust which is ok, the front lip is cosmetic and I asked if I needed to take it off and they said no. I have a missing headshield which really doesn't give any advantage. Can you please clarify, thanks.

Mike, this is a random question....but just out of curiosity, WHY is there a ladies class at all? not that i'm complaining--it makes it easier for me to get trophies, but seriously...i honestly can't understand why there would be a difference...it's not like it's a physical competition, and there is no real physical reason that a male should be any better of a driver than a female. (expect, perhaps....the cockiness factor...) only thing i can figure is that it attracts women to the sport....

when and if i get more competitive times, am i allowed to run in regular STS or must women stick to the ladies class?? just curious...

**edit: mods, feel free to make this a diff thread if you'd like, i know i'm gettin off-topic here....**

Depends on the region, Southern WV where I did an event and will run full season doesn't have a ladies class.

You are allowed to modify the exhaust from the catalytic convert to the rear, you modified the header which is pre-cat.

So in my view that is lightening up the front end, but like the PM I sent you your competitors wouldn't care much because we are a very friendly club we do let things slide for novices since they are just that - learning the ropes. But if you took home a trophy your competitors have every right to protest you.

Yeah each region is different. Ladies classes were created to bring out more competitors who were afraid to compete against the guys. Some like it some don't. Ask anyone in the club and you will get mixed feelings. I can see what having a ladies class is good for. Guys are very cut throat - although my wife.... - ok I will not go there

You are allowed to run any class that is legal for your car. Either open class or ladies class. Roseanne Freeburger in her white Type R always runs in the open class. And she is in her 60s.

Although I have seen many fast females in all classes sometimes beating out the guys
