just wanted to say hi...
hi all--i'll probably be hanging out here more often, so i just wanted to introduce myself a lil bit so that when i post you're not thinkin "who does this chick think she is??!" =)
i'm mindy--drive a 2000 prelude base, just started auto-crossing mid-august but am positively hooked. i hang out at absoluteprelude.com a lot--i recognize jacques from over there, i'm certain my b/f is probably lurking around here somewhere too...zack, where are you?
anyhoo---that's me. i enjoyed the past two sunday's up in grantville with the susquehanna scca people--you guys were great, i had tons of fun. i'm sorry to say i'll be movin on to the Austin TX circuit soon, but when i'm in the area i'll have to see if i can convince my step-dad to let me co-drive his mini up here. and, with any luck, maybe in a year or two or twenty i'll be able to hang out with you fast ppl at nationals. :chuckles:

Mindy Cooper? Yeah you were working the truck with Gil and I was standing next to you watching the course. You looked good out there! Too bad you caught us at the end of the season.
Welcome aboard!

You were right infront of me while we were gridded. Your Prelude looks clean! Too bad you are moving to TX. What are you moving there for?

LOL, j/k, that's only part of it. my b/f is there, and there isn't any snow there. those are the two biggies.
and thanks for the compliments on the car--it's a work in progress. i've had it for a year, just did the drop this summer (H&R sport springs + KYB AGX shocks). once i get down to TX, and depending on if the b/f buys his 951 to replace his current 'lude (heehee inheriting parts is the best)...next mods will probably be exhaust, CAI (wouldn't risk it up here), and maybe a new header. body will most likely remain clean...only mods there *might* be oem or mugen sideskirts...plus some nice wheelz (not sure what yet) n falkens. =) brakes would be good too....all in good time...
p.s. i coulda died when Gil called the "louie cone" when you were instructing for that alfa...HAAHAA!!! that was too funny....

At Nationals there is always one cone that you have to find that has a Kenny sticker on it (from South Park)

Well it's too bad you met us later than you did. The Susquehanna group is a bunch of fun guys. You should see some of these people when they have a little bit of alcohol in them at the Banquet in January

lol...
yeah, i don't know if you caught it, but Alan switched me to STS by the end (anyone notice that there was suddenly an STS ladies class during the awards?? :lmao: ) i wasn't trying to get away with anything...the way that the b/f and i read the 2004 rulebook made it sound like i was in GS until i got some bolt-ons. And, after close inspection...we're not even sure if my base should have been in G-stock anyway...apparantly the 2004 rules made it so that the SH and the base 5th gen prelude were in the same class? (which, IMO, is kinda b*s, since the base doesn't have ATTS like the SH's....) *shrug* doesn't matter now...it's STS for me.
and yeah, i can't even IMAGINE you guys w/ a lil alcohol in your systems....i was pretty sure Gil and Alan had a flask in that truck SOMEwhere...those guys are nuts!

Will you get switched to STS L for Event 9 as well? Mike can you please clarify this. Thanks.
Mindy I know you weren't trying to get away with anything, but you should tell tech people what is on the car. Springs and shocks are hard to see and most people can't see them. Unless it is blatantly obvious they ignore it, they got pissed at my headers even though they were stock. EX headers without the heatshield on look like aftermarket headers. So I had to explain that my heatshield was busted.
Anyway sucks that you are leaving, have fun in TX.
