in stock trim, m3 is better.. the itr has a very very slight advantage at entry.. that's it...

i always thought the m3 sucked because it pushes so damn much in autocross.. but i've had instructors tell me that once you get the hang of it, you can use power oversteer to help it around autocross courses..

however, when i drove it at the track, it was a whole new world.. it handles beautifully.. since the turns are not as tight at the track, what seemed like push is stability on course..

now my friend's m3 has full suspension upgrades... all custom, and i'm about 95% done tuning the alignment and dampening, and i have to say that the itr can't compare, even with suspension upgrades.. soon as the alignment and tuning setup is done, i'm going to corner weigh it to make sure balance is correct.. so the m3 can only improve..

the itr i drove had gc springs on koni shocks.. i'm not sure if the swaybar was upgraded.. it drives very similar to my civic hatch except it's a little more stable than my civic (my civic hatch has snap oversteer during lift and braking) and has a lot more power.. i feel more confident driving fwd, but even with that, any type of hard acceleration will make the car push.. even with the lsd you'll push.. the acceleration during and out of a corner is noticeably slower than the m3..

however, in autocross, it's a different story with me.. i can drive the itr faster than the m3 (slightly).. weird..
