240 in a road race?
Im planning on getting a 240 by the end of this summer and i was wondering if it would handle the twistys as well(or better) than a fwd car. Would it atleast be decent enough to handle corners without tail sliding?
240 SX? 240Z? I'm guessing you're asking about an SX because the Z car is rare these days. The SX can be very good in the hands of a skilled driver -- about 3 years ago there was a 240 in our region's STS class that was very, very hard to beat. They are prone to being tail happy, and that's what makes them a popular choice for the formula D crowd. But depending on the setup and the driver, they can hold their own on the twisties.
2k is pretty generous suspension budget in my book, so I'll take an uneducated guess and say "yes." But I really have no way of knowing for sure.
Casey, who made his GSR handle pretty darn well for well below $2k.

At my last HPDE i battled a 240 for many laps. They seem like good handling cars. The 240 had teins flex's, and so did my civic. In the corners we were pretty even. I had him in power, he had me under braking.
