Default wheel well rubbing?

i took my GSR to an autox (first time autoxing in that car). i pumped up my tires and all of that (by the way the tires are shit i have to get new ones). i am taking a hard right at the end of a decreasing radius turn and i hear this horrible noise from the left front. im almost positive it was the tire rubbing on something. what should i do about this?

What tires were you using, and where did it rub? You should be able to visibly see a polished area where the tire made contact with something.

Do you have stock rims and tires?
Is your car lowered?

Probably was rubbing you heard -- it's a common problem for lowered Integras/Civics, especially if your running non-stock sized wheels and tires.

a completely stock car shouldn't be rubbing. I'd give the front right suspension a thorough lookover and see if you can find anything out of whack. Can you describe the noise a little more?

it was almost like a scraping sound. like if you were to scrape up the front lip of your car while parking or something. it was very brief and occured just at the apex when the wheel was turned the most and i was just getting on the gas. it almost sounded like the left front of my lip was scraping the concrete, but wheel well rubbing just sounded like a more logical conclusion to me.

Good thought, Stephen. I scrape mine ALL the time -- going over speed bumps, big dips in the road, on the auto-x course, etc...
