What Grade Oil For Autox???
Please Help, I'm really confused!!!
I'm planning to track my Acura RSX type-S this summer, but I'm really confused as to which grade of oil to use. i understand its about the vicosity level, 20w-50? 0W-50?? or just regular 15w-30 will do??
I'm from Canada and the highest temp. it'll ever get is 35 degree Celcius.
Also, with regards to brand, there so much like mobile1, mutol, royal purple , etc.... any recommandation??
thx in advance!

I would use a synthetic in the range that your owner's manual suggests.
Mobil 1 is available all over, so they're the brand I stick with.

Assuming this is your daily driver-stick with what Honda says to put in. You do have a warranty to consider as well. The car should be fine with regular/dino oil.

My 2000 Honda Civic Si uses 5w-30, and I was using 5w-30 Mobil 1 sythetic for 3 years and last year switched to Amsoil. I've also used 0w-30 and noticed the car runs a bit smoother, but I'm worried about engine failure with that grade.

i love my castrol gtx in 10w30
used to use mobil1 and switched back to castrol gtx last year. i will never go back to synthetic. just change the oil a little more often(2-3k) if you are beating on the engine a lot.

35 C is in the 90's F if I remember right. Your manual should have two different weights suggested, one for cold and one for hotter weather. Mine is 5W30 and 10W30. I suggest going with the manual for the different temps.
Synthetic is good stuff, better detergents in it. As for brand, there isn't one you need to race, so use what you can find/afford
