2 points for lightweight fenders?
That's pretty steep.

It's at the front of your car which means less weight over the front wheels.

That would not be cool. Why would you want to win knowing you cheated?

I just barely stayed in class 4

Which I took 2nd last year by like 0.1 seconds.

hehe, i guess i'll see yah there,

lemme ask you, is it worth entering just for shits and giggles? I aint autox my car yet or any car as a matter of fact, planning to start this season though. And are the tech inspections for the autox part alot more strict than the regular ones? cuz i think the tech inspection for the drag racing is a joke there.

werd. I'd be going just for shits and giggles as well. To see how I can do on the auto-x with Jens stock RSX-S and see what kind of stock time I can pull in the 1/4 mile with the RSX-S...

I'm wouldn't be in it for trophys or even to compete.

Of course it's worth it. Anytime you get more seat time the better off you are.

I know several guys who showed up last year and never even done anything like this and had a blast. Then I started seeing them at every event

You do have to make sure your car is safe or you will not be able to run. Even me as a competitor if I see your car is unsafe I will say something. Not only because you could put your life in jeopardy, but you put everyone else on course who is working (for free mind you) in the same situation.

This is my pre-check list before I compete:
  • lugs torqued down to specs
  • loose items removed from the car (CDs, change, bottles, etc...)
  • throttle cable returns to idle
  • brake pedal has feel
  • battery is held down securely
  • trunk is empty (remove the spare and jack)

I think the classification of the RSX-S is a mistake. The RSX-S these days is capable of being as fast or faster than a Type-R. Handling will take some work but from a power stand point little to no work gets you 200+ whp.
