And are the tech inspections for the autox part alot more strict than the regular ones? cuz i think the tech inspection for the drag racing is a joke there.
Of course it's worth it. Anytime you get more seat time the better off you are.
I know several guys who showed up last year and never even done anything like this and had a blast. Then I started seeing them at every event
You do have to make sure your car is safe or you will not be able to run. Even me as a competitor if I see your car is unsafe I will say something. Not only because you could put your life in jeopardy, but you put everyone else on course who is working (for free mind you) in the same situation.
This is my pre-check list before I compete:
- lugs torqued down to specs
- loose items removed from the car (CDs, change, bottles, etc...)
- throttle cable returns to idle
- brake pedal has feel
- battery is held down securely
- trunk is empty (remove the spare and jack)
