In most cases, yes... but not always. I just don't think that should be the criteria for judging someone's drive or ability.

I've seen booze cause way more problems on the job than pot... and I've worked around both pretty extensively ( :uhg: ). A person should be judged by their performance, not by their personal habits. Of course, the catch 22 is that you can't judge someones performance until you've hired them :dunno: I think lots of people have a blind fear of certain things because its illegal or socially unacceptable. I've never heard of potheads starting fights or date-raping girls... [BTW, I'm not a pothead, but I am a drunk, so personal bias isn't factoring into my argument]

Ehhhh, I understand, but, you have to understand more times than not that it has a poor effect on your concentration. Consider you're working around food, you don't want somebody who is a frequent pot smoker to put something in the food on accident and now the company has to go through and find which batch, make sure nobody has consumed it yet, make sure it's not on the shelf, they get deductions to the roof from their brokers. This could cost a company thousands, and companies just don't have thousands of dollars sitting around anymore. It could, as somebody mentioned before, effect other workers too.

Well, that was one of my points. You forgot that most people don't have the same concentration they do when they're not influenced by a substance such as pot. Meaning, it's bad when people screw up, but most people would more likely screw up under the influence.

There's a reason why they don't want people who smoke it up to work for them.
I am NEVER stoned at work! And, I was recently promoted to Branch Manager. What I do on my home time has no impact on my job performance...
