I'd do everything possible if an unknown entity is in my house, death is pretty much my main goal as I don't know what they plan on doing. If I don't kill them then they have a chance at killing me, I don't like that kind of situation.

A mans house is his castle and the two most dangerous things you can ever do to a person is to mess with his house (includes family) or mess with his car.
Either of these will land you dead as they are the most personal items a person can own...its what gives them their sense of freedom and safety, take that and you get what you deserve of caught.

I won't defend the guy after hearing this but if he was of sound mind and the burglary was true I would back him 100%

it turns out that the guy who did it is a mentally disturbed, violent, drug/alcohol abuser. he was sleeping on his grandmothers porch because she did not feel safe around him. he is 19 years old with 3 kids. beats his girlfriend, multiple arrests and was supossed to be on prescription medication for his mental problems, history of violence, PCP and alcohol use, the whole 9 yards
