Ford Ranger 4x4 are good. or a Nissan something. If you wanting to put a box in it get Ext Cab.

do you have somewhere to park it? if you do, yer one lucky kid.
here at u wi milwaukee, if you live in the dorms, you gotta lease a spot from nearby garages for like 50 or 60/month. and "nearby" as in a few blocks away. i'm glad i dont live in teh dorms

anyways, is it just going to be you, or you and your buddies?? if you plan on hauling people, forget a 240. get a maxima, stanza, altima, accord, or camry or something.

i have an 86 MR2 i bought for $800 with 50k on the motor. great beater car, but practically no cargo space.

i would recommend an early-mid 80's toyota pickup. i've seen those go up to 400k miles on the original clutch!

I can second that notion. Besides the cop cars...Mazdas (although owned by Ford) are still very very reliable cars. Especially older ones.

I had a 92 323 w/ 250,xxx miles. Sold it for $750. Turned around and bought my uncles off him for $800 (net of only -$50 out of pocket) a 93 with only 50,xxx miles....I oWned the used beater car market on that one.

The Mazda I sold still runs w/ probably well over 300,xxx miles on it. Recently I heard from my mechanic that he couldn't pass it for inspection cause the frame was too rusty...weird but the engines still good...
