iPhone5 Anyone?
It's a little pricey, but a thousand times better than any other protector I've used before. I can't stand those static ones that are sticky on your finger. There's some stuff here and there that is a little annoying, but fixable (if you're willing to go that route).
Some examples:
there's a popup that tells you if wifi is around that you can't get rid of
and it asks you to use wifi when using a "high data" app
and wifi isn't in the quick toggles at the top of the notification drawer
These are all things that you can fix with mods and stuff, but some people don't want to do that. I tried all the phones that were available at the time I go mine, which was in July, and this was by far my favorite, and I'm still extremely happy with it.
so what exactly is going to be different about this one verses the last 4 iphones? unless your contract is up or the new iphone gives blowjobs I really don't understand why people run to the store to throw hundreds of dollars at apple.

Haven't found much to dislike so far, I do wish the predictive text function was better but I ended up just turning it off. Love the battery life on it and the browser is a lot more stable than the one that was on my G2. I haven't had to reboot it yet in two weeks of owning it which makes me happy, the G2 was becoming a daily reboot twice a day and there was no OS update after GB so it had limitations because of that.

I just got the S3 and am loving it, started playing with the "tectiles" using NFC Launcher which is far better than Samsungs launcher as you can program multiple settings and launches to a single tile. I am dissapointed it requires root access to launch the gps using a tile but it may lead me to root it soon.

I use swiftkey for my keyboard, which I like a lot better, and chrome for my browser since I can sync it over all devices so I always have my bookmarks and such.
As far as rooting, I did it and tried a bunch of roms, but have lately stuck with one that's pretty stock. It just adds little enhancements like turning off the wifi popup, turning off the shutter sound on the camera, allows customizing the quick toggles up top, removing verizon bloat, etc.
Yeah i want to strip some of the Tmo bloat as well.
Wbat rom are you using and how hard is the root process?

Repeat after me (extra points if you do it in a Christopher Walken voice) "Thats too bad you see, because now you are going to have to earn your own money to buy a new phone"

root is super easy. It's different for verizon phones, so I could tell you what rom but it wouldn't help you. I do know that there's a leak of the t-mobile jelly bean update (since there's a verizon rom based on that leak), but I don't know how stable it is (although the verizon port was stable, so I would guess the t-mo version on a t-mo phone was even better).
