Haven't found much to dislike so far, I do wish the predictive text function was better but I ended up just turning it off. Love the battery life on it and the browser is a lot more stable than the one that was on my G2. I haven't had to reboot it yet in two weeks of owning it which makes me happy, the G2 was becoming a daily reboot twice a day and there was no OS update after GB so it had limitations because of that.
Yeah, I use NFC Launcher too. Pretty much awesome, and I'm going to have tags all over the place soon.
I use swiftkey for my keyboard, which I like a lot better, and chrome for my browser since I can sync it over all devices so I always have my bookmarks and such.
As far as rooting, I did it and tried a bunch of roms, but have lately stuck with one that's pretty stock. It just adds little enhancements like turning off the wifi popup, turning off the shutter sound on the camera, allows customizing the quick toggles up top, removing verizon bloat, etc.
