I am trying not to laugh at my roomates girlfriend, but I can't help it, she is yelling at his computer and it's funny as crap. She tells the computer to open the damn program, than it loads up and she starts yelling, "STOP STOP STOP"

i talk to my computer all the time... usually it's an office space quote... "i swear to god, i throw this piece of shit out de window!" that movie is frighteningly accurate when it comes to working in IT... at least where i work anyways

My friend is a tech supportat his company, here's a story he told me:

Guy on Phone : Hi that stupid little paper clip help tool from word wont go away how do I get rid of it ?

IT Dude I work with : We'll come right over to take a look

We get to the guys desk.......

IT Dude I work with : oh ok...what you have to do is right click on him and say "HIDE"

Me : (scratching my head at what he just told the guy to do)

Guy: proceeds to right click on paper clip icon and starts saying "HIDE"

I start laughing.....and start biting my tongue to stop. The guy turns around to the dude i work with and says "Its not working". Dude i work with says.."You gotta yell louder". Now the guy is yelling at his computer to hide and I bust a gut laughing and the guy i work with busts a gut laughing and says to the guy "Im just f***ing with you" and then he just right clicks it and hides the paper clip and we go back to our little cubes. Good thing the guy had a sense of humor and didnt flip out. HAHAHAHA this job cracks me up

i kick mine when it acts up....shorted out a USB PCI card once by kicking. I've learned my lesson not to do it again.

 

heh i did that too. stupid thing was running really slow so i punched and kicked it a few times. must of knocked a connection loose inside cause it wouldnt start for a few days til my brother took it into a shop. :rick: :exnbp:
