So if I call the 611 and explain the situation to the rep. they can send me a new phone, free? That doesn't seem possible, if it is cool. I will give them a call and see.

well, they give you a new handset, and a pd postage box for your old phone so it can be returned. You only get an empty phone, so you have to use your battery, sim card, charger and all other accessories.

You shoulda stuck with the Nokia 3390. It has an American-made Texas Instruments chip in it for the brain, unlike the crapped-out Samsungs, Kyoceras, and Erickssons. The 3390 may not be flashy, have symphonic ringtones, or be new, but you just can't beat the reliability of them. Besides, theres a billion different phone cases for them on eBay, as well as LED batteries and badass blinking blue LED keypads.

later turkeys!

So basically its just the outside part of the phone. I will have to use the same internals as I currently have, right?
