Learn me about Spain. Wong, Estrada, and others who have visited that country
She studied abroad there for a couple months. She spent a good amount of time in Madrid and she lived in Cordoba. All the smaller cities are definitely day trips and a map. If you read some guide books, you can get by with walking around. You will be fine with English in the big cities...in the smaller ones. :uhhok:

if you hit Barcelona, make sure to hop on the tour bus, there is 2 tour buses that will show you all of Barcelona within 2 days. doing it all in one day will kill you. watch your back in las ramblas there is always peeps posted up looking for tourist to jack as well as in the subway. other wise than that the city is beautiful and you should have a good time. depending on your bank exchange your monies to euros here in the states or in the airport when you land. hitting the banks in spain they will jack you in the exchange, be ready to drop coin its mad expensive over there. if you plan to hit any clubs be aware that they dont start popping off till 1am /2am and go all the way till 7/8am. also when are you going? i have fam in Barcelona that can show you a good time.

We buy our euros at our local bank. my wife and I normally pay for a city wide tour on the first day we get there to get acquainted with the city. Then we find things to do ourselves and then ask the locals on where to eat. We always watch our belongs no matter where we are at, New Orleans taught us well.
and when we travel out the country we don't club, maybe go to a bar and have a few drinks and go to bed so we can go out the next day.
I might take you up on the offer with your family, but it might be a bit awkward. Im going to see though.
Thanks for the tip. So far I got two days worth of stuff to do in Barcelona. My wife is responsible for hotels and restaurants. I'm responsible for the activities and transportation.
you've been to anywhere else beside Barcelona, Estrada?

this is what i'm saying. if there's one way to get you into soccer watching one of the three best players in the world is to do it.
My wife and I are planning to hit up Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia for 2 weeks. But looking through Will old spain pics I might change the city destination. I like to learn about the history and enjoy the architecture and scenery. What cities should I go to and what should I do? We also love to eat so suggestion of where to eat would be nice.
Went to Italy last year with the wifey and absolutely loved it. Hoping we can have that same experience in Spain.

La Mezquita de Cňrdoba (the grand mosque) is worth the trip by itself. And as a fellow architecture nut, Barcelona is simply spectacular.
Madrid, by comparison, left me cold. Nice museums, but even in 2000, the city was blighted by modernist crap. Can't imagine it's any better now.
It's also the one place where I was robbed, which is why I have no pics. The police were fucking hopeless, by the way. :a:
