Holy shit! What a change since this post! I am now manager of the data analyst team (went from temp, team lead, data analyst, Supervisor, and now manager, reporting DIRECTLY to the VP of my division (who was my director in the OP). 2 steps from CEO of a near billion $ company. I have a team of 5 in SD, and built/tested teams in India and Costa Rica. I get to be a tech incubator within my department and am tied to some of the companies biggest initiatives. Seriously cannot be happier with my decision to become a data analyst with my company and put paralegal in the rear view. It's been a phenomenal and humble 5 years. I get to do some seriously awesome things and partner with some brilliant people. Seriously proud to wake up everyday and go to "work".
