so today, i'm driving when this dude in an f150 goes flying by me, cuts me off and about 6 other drivers and is going probably 30 over the speed limit. i get pissed off and i start speeding as well but with MUCH more consideration for other drivers and as we go up this hill i notice that the f150 has slowed down to the speed limit but it's too late for me, i see a motorcycle cop and he pulls out right behind me and gets me. he gives me a 6 point ticket for doing 71 in a 45 and i have to go to court in october. what i'm wondering is if anyone else has had a similar ticket and what they have said in court that works? any feedback is greatly appreciated...

 

ughhhh.....71 in 45...thats kinda FAST!

only thing you can do in court is hope that the officer dont show for some reason.

Got out of it because I had my permit and the cop thought it was more funny then serious and gave me a warning. :chuckles:

 

even if the cop doesn't show...won't the judge try and move the hearing to another date when he will show up?

 

which state are you in? and yes the judge can change the hearing date to accomodate the cop.

the ticket will probably be a few hundred. you just have to worry about insurance...thats going to go through the roof..:doh:

 

72mph in a 30mph zone and got a warning. :chuckles:
