the standard should be 800x600 now. some places like public librarys may still use 640x480, but i wouldn't worry about it anymore. assuming 1024x768 also assumes that the user always surfs with a maximized window, which is not always the case by any means. i like to use 800x600 because it gives a lot of room to spare. so even IF the person is using 1024x768, they can see your webpage fully in a smaller window. make sense?

you can fit almost anything you need into an 800x600 space anyway. there's not a great need to go beyond that.

I also have to go draw a design too...can't work blindly now

It's just a site I created to post pictures of my friends and our trips. I am thinking about adding on a few more things for the visitors to contribute too...like a Work Rant section....that kind of deal. There's nothing commercial about the site right now, but if I do start a business I may use some type of spin off on it...who knows. For now it's just something I want to do for fun since I sit in front of a computer 9 hours a day/5 days a week.
