motorsports wont let you in without a hookup or some prior knowledge
i would just work at the dealership washing cars, giving rides, etc......youll learn a lot doing that

I don't think legally you can be a mechanic or anything like that...you gotta be trained, and actually be an employee, cause they won't be liable in case anything happens to you.

As for just getting a job, you could what others said and get a job at a dealership washing cars or something.

I know quite a few guys that started out as Porters for Honda dealerships. Next thing I know they either become techs or part mangers. Just giving you an example, not promising you anything. Everyone has to start somewhere, and at your point you'd probably have to pay your dues then get a cool job. But hey, it's a learning experience man.

Don't most places require you to be 18 so their insurance on their company is covered? You could learn by taking your car apart and reading a FSM on the shiater.

when you get your Ls go to a local dealership and apply as a porter. good luck man, your off to a good start.
