I can't give you a precise number off the top of my head, but those CAT D9 (I think that's the model) front end loaders and the CAT dumptrucks use the diesel motor to run a generator to power the electric motors at each wheel.

And if they're getting 4 mpg out of them in operation, you can guesstimate torque at the wheels would be in the tens, if not hundreds of thousands of foot-pounds....

In otherwords, a farking shitload. :chuckles:

Its either a 771D or 775D

http://cmms.cat.com/cmms/servlet/cat...ucks&dsfFlag=0

1618ft-lbs or torque. Not as much as I would have thought really.

EDIT: Holy shit, it might be the 777D! 3476 lb ft!!!!

I wonder if that engine will fit in a Civic. Or more like I wonder if a Civic will fit in that engine.

1%....hahahahaha

You took a drive down a dirt road and you call it off roading? :lmfao:

I realize its not your vehicle but the title is way misleading I was expecting you to have shots of going through ruts or at least a decent hill climb.

I did refer but you also had a capable person who probably could have pushed a button and aimed a camera as you drove over the ruts.
