Default Does 1/2"...

Make any noticeable difference as far as dropping a car? Can you really tell that a car was lowered 1/2"? Can somebody please settle this so my friend and I can stop arguing about it? Thanks...

But do you think it's a noticeable difference when you're looking at the vehicle?

you can have high spring rate setups with only 1/2 inch drops. H/R and other fine companies make drag launch and OEM setups that stiffen the ride without dropping the car.

BMW's and Mercedes and other cars with no wheel gaps from the factory also are provided with springs that only drop 1/2 and 3/4 inches.

Not really.... Unless you're tucking really bad and that the fender of the car is the same height as the rim (you don't see the tire). Then yes, 1/2" would make a difference because you could see the tire.

But if you're referring to a 1/2" drop from stock, then no...

This is how the whole thing started...

I was talking to my friend about getting new struts because one of mine is blown. I told him I was a bit hesitant to get Koni Yellows because I don't really want to fork over the money for them right now. He said I should get them because I'd be able to lower my car a little more with them. However, I just found out that the height adjustment on them is +.5 to -.5, so it wouldn't necessarily make enough difference to justify buying them just for the height adjustment feature...But he keeps saying that it'd make a huge difference.

It would be more noticable if your car was filled full of fat chicks.

IMO anything less then a 1 1/2 inche drop from factory height isn't worth the work.
