Easy... just get it a hair over what is the required number and slide off the plug gap tool and just push it in a tad. Mine were almost 1.0 mm off before I fixed them. h:

Why not spend the couple bucks and get brand new plugs :dunno:

even new plugs have to be gapped. they can be off too.

You should at least check the gap to make sure it's correct. It's simple enough that there's no good reason not to.
