That does sound harsh, but NH has similar laws. It's just an attempt to discourage it.

Personally, I think it's too harsh, especially if you have a clean record.

Firstly, all you age-limit whiners should count your blessings that Prohibition was repealed. If SOME people had their way we wouldn't be able to drink at all. And before you continue griping about the government and their "stupid" rules, might I remind you that federal laws give you your 8 hour work day, and keep children from being forced to work. If you don't like our country, then get the f*ck out.
Secondly, where were you drinking? Was it on private property? If so, why was a cop there?

First of all, prohibition was the dumbest move the government made in the early 20th century. Second of all, were not whining about everything the government does, we love democracy, public works, minimum wage, scholarships, law, order, military defence and all that jazz, we just don't like arbitrary bullshit decreed from on high (read: CA. Air Resources Board, age limits, etc...) Honestly, who said "I hate America?!?!" STFU. :ghey:

the whole point of a punishment is to hit you where it hurts...how else are kids going to learn if you don't take away their license?

I'm sure this REALLY helps with underage drinking, as opposed to just community service and paying a fine.
