Default New Vid Card...[need recommendations]

hey guys i'm in the market for a new vdo card right now cause after i rebuilt my system (new asus mb and 2.5 ghz amd xp processor + 80 gig hd with 8mb buffer) my windows seems to keep crashing with the old geforce 3 ti200 drivers installed...so now i'm looking to get a new vid card looking at the geforce fx 5600 ultra or the radeon 9600 pro what are your recommendations and no i will not spend an additional 200 buxs for a 5900 or 9800

radeon 9800 pro... though witht he AMD chip i believe nvidia would probably be better

err not gonna spend the extra 200 radeon 9600 pro or nvidia 5600 ultra?

i have the 9600 pro, please get the 9700np at least.....you'll be much more satisfied.....it can be had for around the same price

also if you can find an old 9500pro those are better than 9600's

I got a Radeon 9500 Pro. Don't know if they still make those because all I see are the 9600, 9700 and the 9800

ATI Radeon 7500, 9000, 9200 are all good. All of them have 128 MB DDR RAM. I have a 9000 that I use for gaming with XP and its pretty badass.

since you're in OC, if you wanna pickup, www.allstarshop.com lets you pick up the stuff and they've got decent prices, they have a retail 9500 pro 128mb for $185 or an oem for $179

if you find a 9500pro that has the L-shaped memory on it. you can sof mod it to open up the other 4 redering pipelines.. so infact you will have a 9700pro for the price of a 9500...
