isn't it all about the artwork on the dvd? same thing as music cds. you could probably download and burn or just copy an entire audio cd but it won't have the same artwork..

Hmm...I'm a fan, but I don't see the reasoning behind buying both. I bought both on the last one 'cause I didn't know about the special edition one.

 

I don't think I'm going to buy the collector's gift set... I don't really like the smeagol/gollum statue... it's not as cool as the one's with the first set... I think they shoul dhave had the two towers like they had on the posters...

 

well, i can't wait for the special edition to come out first, but i also have to buy the special edition. therefore, i must buy both.

but the first one also comes with a rebate if you decide to also get the second one.

LOTR is my second most expensive habit.

most of my dvd-rips have labels that were scanned from actual dvds. some of them look completely real, while others don't.
