If I had the money, a 426 Hemi would be my first choice. A Nova with a 454 would be cool too.

Something you should know about V8 cars. The Muscle Car era was from 1964-1974. Basically after '74 emissions and gas prices killed the powerful V8s such as why most American cars in the 70s were tanks that sucked ass. Americans never really caught up until the mid-90s making a really good V8 again.

So while the era of cheap RWD V8s will have disappointing motors you can basically swap in many many good V8s into the car. And there are plenty of parts for V8s.

exactly. late 70's early 80's v8 cars are cheap cus they are shit stock, but to modify them is about the same as an import, though gamins are a little more

Plus about livin in Florida, no Emission tests, nor inspections so I am alright with doing some....less than legal modifications
