Thanks. Last year, I was talking with my dad about getting tools because he sells large CNC machines and comes across people selling off shops and misc tools. I told him to keep an eye out for some stuff for me like a table saw, band saw, etc. He decided to just buy me some new nice stuff, on the condition that I make him a pen. Of course, he didn't buy me a lathe, which I would need to make one. But I knew a guy that made them, so I had him help me out, show me how, and let me use his tools. I gave my dad his pen for Christmas. But after doing that, I realized that it was pretty fun, so I bought myself a Harbor Freight lathe and some tools. I got a pretty good primer from my friend, but since then I've been learning more techniques on my own from forums, videos and trial & error.

I have to order more of that dymondwood, unless you want a different color dymondwood. when I said earlier that I had ruined some expensive pieces of wood, that's the wood that I ruined. :hs: I can post pictures of the wood I have in stock if you want.

 

uh oh, just looked at the supplier I had been using for it, and they're out of stock. I'll have to find another one.
