CRT Monitors
I heard that CRT monitors are better than LCD's for gaming purposes. Is this true, and why? If so, what is a good CRT monitor (preferably in black) for a good price. I'm looking at either 19, 20, or 21"
do a google "CRT vs LCD"
basically the only reason i'd buy a LCd is for space and heat(or the lack of it)
CRT's only hurt eyes if they have a low refresh rate. CRts stand to pop out from normal objects when a LCDs image is natural-like

but new LCD's these days are just as good.
LCD:
looks better
uses less energy
less heat
less space
lasts longer
CRT:
less money to buy

i've never heard the last longer part?
My CRT lasted like 5 years b4 dying and it was a cheap KDS one
LCDs are just too much for my blood, i could get a 21"CRT for the price of a 15"LCD

but just by the physical design of the CRT's, it will wear out quicker and have less color accuracy as compared to an LCD of the same age.
It has to do with CRTs being more versatile in what resolution you can run them in. LCDs have a native resolution which you should run for everything to look good. If you run a different resolution, the images will look grainy and low quality. For example, my LCDs native resolution is 1280x1024, so if I play a game that doesn't run at that resolution, it won't look as good as it would on a CRT.
Plus, larger CRTs are capable of running higher resolutions that LCDs.
Ghosting is another reason, but that's not really a problem anymore if you get an LCD with a good response time, and if you use a DVI connector.
