I almost outran a cop last week on my bike. Not on purpose though, I was trying to respond to an emergency situation and I was flying on this back road doing about 80 and these headlights were following me but they were getting further away... Until he threw the red lights on h:

He was very cool about it though, thanked me for pulling over and just gave me a ticket for passing on a double yellow.

 

I ran from the cops on foot once. My buddy and I were shooting bottle rockets at cars passing on a street (yes, we were stupid and in high school). A cruiser rolled up and 2 cops got out, we booked it. No way were two cops going to catch 2 high school kids on foot, at night, wearing dark clothes, when we both knew the terrain in the neighborhood since we'd lived there all our lives.

And one time I turned into a neighborhood real quick and made a bunch of turns, because I thought a cop *might* have been about to pull me over. Is that close enough?

i did that once ... doing 15 over and cop passed me ... look in the mirror and i see lights ... i'm a quarter mile from home and got a good lead on him already and its twisty, i was in the teg so i floored it and popped quick into the garage, watched him go by

then i realized how stupid that was cuz i had one of the only 2 tegs in the area and the other one was atotally different color so if he realized what the car was i was screwed h:

 

I was up in left hand canyon doing a bunch of underage drinking and drugs and whatnot when a cop came up the trail... I just ran up a mountainside and hung out in the bushes and let him catch all the dopes who sat there in plain sight. h: Not really outrunning the cops, just being alert and knowing when to gtfo.

I might be able to evade the cops in my truck by driving somewhere their cruisers can't go :hsdunno:

 

That reminds me of running from the cops in Boulder. I was a sophomore in college and we were having our first big party. I'm on the front porch having a drink, I turn around and there's a cop standing in my doorway. I jumped a railing, booked it across the street, and watched from the bushes. I watched 2 of my roomates walk right past her and keep on going, claiming they didn't live there, and found out later another roomate had jumped out of his window on the back of the house. :chuckles:

:rofl: I was at a college party in Bellingham, WA a couple years ago (I was 24 at the time) and the cops showed up and it was general mayhem with people running around scared and trying to hide and shit. I just sat there on the couch and greeted the cops. "Hi, how are you tonight? I don't know any of these people" h:
