AMERICAN and most European cars get thier power in (lower Rpm's (Rotations per minute) in the engine). which means... while the american car jumps in front, your subaru. will need to be that much faster to get in front. OH YEA!! subaru likes to overrate their cars, they said the reg. wrx does 14.7... HA!! ive never seen a stock wrx do a 14.7. American cars like to underrate their cars.. for ex. the srt-4 is supposed to have 115. hp (in the engine) while at the crank has 223 hp. I wont be suprised if your STI other known as(Sexualy Transmitted Infection) does a 14.3 at best. Most.. if not ALL AISIAN cars get their power in high Rpm's, and thats why they have their rpm's go up to like 7 grand. American cars are known to have more torque then horsepower.... (sheer american power), Asian cars have more horsepower then torque... for example the Type - R integra, 197 Hp, 115 torque..... thats why they refer to asian cars as a economy car.... all due respect to the non compact asian cars like (Supra TT, Skyline, NSX type -R... etc....) Im sorry, but I for one will never spend more then 30K in a Asian Compact Car, even if it were a 11 sec. car... (id rather go with european, or american) other wise once you reach the 28K mark, who ever is in the right state of mind will go with luxury... why would you spend 30k, be broke to spend more, and just be as fast as the other guys Evo. I want to spend 20 K on a car, and have some left over to customise it acording to my personality traits..
