ten years ago nitro was where it was at. foam planes were too heavy and electric was too weak. now the foamies are gaining a following because they can take a pounding and electric has plenty of power and is more convenient.
if I did it over I'd get the ARF version, flysky 6ch radio, 800mah gen ace eco battery, and cheap lipo charger. for about the same price I would have a better radio that doubles as a sim controller and an equivalent battery and charger.

 

I haven't gotten into planes yet as being in the city its hard to find a decent place to fly. my old boss tried to get me to all the time since he was hardcore into them but I stuck to the helicopters. I stick to the RTF stuff, 5 channel. total blast and cheap fun. I might have $160 into my main flyer. Although I have an itch to get into planes after seeing the foam 'wing' my boss was using this summer. electric, six channel and was basically a flying V and that thing was fast and takeoff was as easy as tossing it into the wind

 

Any possibility of hooking up a paintball or airsoft gun onto that thing? :rick:
