Thinking of buying a Civic of some sort, idea's comments?

When transplanted into a smaller body, (ie, a civic hatch), you can get very decent times and still be extremely reliable. This is one of the most common swaps for a civic.

its still a 15 year old car...interior differences will be very minimal...and with the disk brakes I guess you have a point...but if you're going to go all out, might as well get a set of brembos all around and save the trouble :dunno:
Wait, from your other post you were stating there's no point in swapping in a b16 if you buy a CRX Si... so if I buy a CRX Si just leave the engine that's in there... in there?
I still want prices of the b16 engine, my friend says that you can mod civics but they can't handle the beating of racing and you have to replace the engine every 70k miles or something like that... true?

What kind of Civic would I have to have to put that engine in it? Or are they all pretty much universal?
Thanks for the fast responses

Your downgrading from a newer car to a older car? Its like me getting rid of my TSX and getting a 1996 RL. :ugh:
Just get a new Civic and modify it.
I am planning on either getting a beater car or selling my CR-V, I just dunno yet.

CRX Si = mid/low 16 second car
CRX w/ B16A = mid/low 14 second car
So that would be a big difference. Getting a CRX HF would be good if you are a minimalist because its the lightest CRX (they got heavier each year so 88 is the lightest) and have less features. Si has everything you could want feature wise. HF and Si were also Multi Point Fuel Injection (used 4 fuel injectors) while the DX was Dual Point Fuel Injection (used 2 fuel injectors) so that means to you a swap into a DPFI car will be harder because of wiring, but its not that much harder, I've done it before, not that bad.
