Default Need some advice from the smarter folks.

I'm in a little bit of a spot here.

When I got my biopsy done in January I specifically asked one of my insurance agents if it would be covered. Lady said "Yes." My doctor also told me he'd "Write it as a research test." that way I wouldn't have to pay a penny since they are expensive as hell.

I get a bill for $263.50 because my insurance says its not malignant and they won't pay it. I fight it then give in and pay it.

I get another bill from insurance for $286.

I get another bill now from the hospital for $609.

Looking at the bills it seems they are ripping me off left right and center. Is there anyway to fight it or am I just screwed.

Yes, fight it. Start talking with your insurance agency as well as the hospital.

keep a journal regarding the conversations and store that in a file with your paperwork from the surgery.
