I should have a screen saver that flashes "Danger to Manifold" :chuckles:

I'm sure anyone can go out and spend $xxx on a box and throw it in their trunk. This is a custom installation made on the cheap. And those shuttle cases have limited expansion cabablities. I'm using a full ATX mobo and the car is the case.

I was thinking about doing the same thing, kinda for fun and 'cause I have a bunch of old 'puter parts laying around. But, I couldn't think of what I'd actually use it for... What are your plans for yours?

The noise is interference from the DC-AC invertor, it's fine if there's a small load on it (like under 50W) but once I put a larger load on it, my speakers buzz (even when playing CD's, so I know it's not my aux input cables).
Right now I just have winamp autoload and start playing my full playlist on shuffle when the pc boots. In the future I'll add a regular LCD screen, keyboard, and a DVD drive.

So you use an invertor and then a computer power supply, which inverts the voltage again?

Also, are you using motherboard risers? That looks awfully close to the interior.

I'm going to cut out the whole DC-AC/AC-DC conversion and get a DC ATX power supply.
For mounting the mobo, I cut the side out of a normal case and bolted it to the back of the seat, then used standard computer screws and risers on the mobo.
