my RB block in my 240sx was cast iron. only a few pounds more than a aluminum SR20DET. just silly ricers that think aluminum blocks are better because they think they are alot lighter

im not claiming to be all high and mighty, im just saying that aluminum blocks aren't that much lighter. seeing as how MaxBoost said that it would weigh a ton, i decided to inform him that cast iron block doesn't necessarily weigh a ton, thats all

So I guess people that own a Corvette Z06 and the engineers that designed it would be silly ricers too huh?

well no, but you dont see corvette owners bragging about their lightweight aluminum blocks. its a fine engineering desision to make aluminum blocks. they do weigh less, i know that

Okay, now think about the heat conduction properties of cast iron and aluminum. What is your radiator made out of? Hmm... aluminum, perhaps?

ya, im aware of that. but iron blocks will withstand a much higher level of boost. unlike your engine, whatever engine it is, my engine was made for boost
