If you can wait for a week or two the Nexus phone will be released for Verizon very soon. It is ALL the buzz around the android world. It is rumored to leave every other android phone in it wake. Of the current phones I would stick with RAZR (It is a BEAST of a phone), Samsung Charge is what my wife just got and it is fast AND strong (she has dropped it multiple times now). I like HTC but they haven't been pumping out phones that people flock after as they once did...Their steam kind of died after the Incredible. So if you can....wait for the Nexus. It is a PURE android phone (no bloatware), dual core, super good screen, great camera, and will be shipping with Ice Cream Sandwich (the newest android OS)

 

i was wearing gym shorts, went to sit down in the drivers seat / pull the door shut at the same time kind of thing and my phone slipped out of my pocket and it got caught

 

Will she be eligible for the iPhone when her contract expires on 12/17? If so, it might be worth it to just deal with the dumbphone for the next 3 weeks and get her the phone she would really like. As much as I would never own one, the iPhone is probably the best choice for a "non-power" user.

I'm looking at upgrading my original Moto Droid to either a Razr or the new Google Galaxy Nexus... but having trouble justifying the $250 - $300 cost.

 

^^^^^^^I pretty much concur with what drac has said about the Nexus s It's going to be "the phone to have".
Although my boss just picked up the HTC Rezound With Beats Audio and beats audio ear phones.
I like this phone a lot!
Most reviews give it the edge over the razor.
