A kid in my calculus class dropped his phone that had Gorilla Glass last month and it cracked hardcore. I'm not saying it's common, I just remember his comment was "This glass doesn't break!" while looking at his purdy new shattered phone. :chuckles:

 

droid razr seems to be the most advanced when it came out a month ago. waterproof coated chips is what i'm all about.

 

It's still possible to break gorilla glass. It's just much harder.

 

Well she never had a smartphone, and judging by her internet history, she only goes to facebook and weather.com :chuckles:

She does have an ipad fyi. Are you able to pair them together for stuff? :dunno:

my G2X has gorilla glass. My GF dropped her G2X on the ground once and completely shattered the entire screen.

 

For what it's worth, it wasn't that hard of a drop and the touch screen was BLOWN UP.

I think it's a case by case basis. While drunk, I dropped my old droid X about 5' on concrete on the corner of the screen. Not even a hairline fracture, but it did leave a black mark on the concrete.

This guy drops his 24" and the thing explodes.

 

it all depends how it hits.

 

i slammed my old phone in my car door (insane timing) and only had a crack in the middle of the screen.
