The economy sucks! :down: Most companies are afraid to begin a new position. So instead, they combine it with the next higher job, and hire someone with experience.
I've noticed since Bush began office, available jobs have become less common, higher paying and fewer jobs seems to be the deal, its funny cause its suits like him that got us into this mess...

I graduated in April, had been looking for a job since Dec., just got hired in June. I sent out over 800 resumes and wrote 200+ unique cover letters, to give an idea. And that's in finance, which wasn't hit as hard as some other areas.

I am in Accounting....and I'll be joining you soon Duck. I know I will probably have to take a large pay cut and do some interships when I am close to graduating.

this economy is not caused by bush, it is not caused by 9-11, or greenspan, or any of that. stop passing blame, its caused by everyone of us, all the ones of us in the middle class poorly managing our finances.
btw, the economy is at a 3-5 year high right now, and tech CEO's are complaining of how tough it is to get new hires.

Of course there are some areas there it's booming but overall as a whole, US is still in a recession.
