so i registerred a domain name...
...now i want to host the website at my own house. how do i either setup my DNS on my linux box or windows box, and how do i direct my domain name to my public ip address?
can anybody here help? or direct me to where i can get good help? THanks

to ensure your router and linux/wind0ze boxes are properly configured, you can always go to http://(your ip) and see if it comes up. When DNS updates on the web, you'll be good go to. I had to wait a while for mine to update for my gaming guilds site. All I have up are forums right now though
