Those are my other favorites that are on a near Honda budget.

bad analogy. acura/lexus/infiniti was created specifically for the purpose of selling the luxury cars from honda/toyota/nissan in the US.
Loncoln was not created for that purpose.

It's as much a fuel saver as a performance enhancer.
If you could always have it in that agreesive cam profile that VTEC creates it would be just as good performance wise ti woudl jsut be a crappy daily driver cause it would kill the low end.
