Need help choosing a Head Unit
i vote alpine or eclipse...both offer incredible quality while still staying in the reasonable price range.
if you wanna burn cash, get a nakamichi. no gimmicks, no flashing lights or any other bullshit. just straight, unadulterated pure audio.

im 90% sure the sound is not suffering due to ur HU...
its mostly the install + the speakers themselves...
ure running 2/3 ways speakers....dont expect too much out from them...
if u want to tramatically improve the sound...seal off the front <the back of it> with good dampening material..
and maybe get an active xover to adjust ur xover settings...
but then again...you can do improve so much cus ure running noncomp speakers...
btw...the s/n ratio doesnt really mean much when you dont know how theyre tested...
and i bet you cant even tell the differences a few dbs off from each other...

umm, its over 10dB
thats quite a difference
and its not the speakers. those dualmags are just as good as components.
as for the 6x9s in back, thats not the issue. And I doubt many people even use components in back.
besides, compare a midgrade pioneer deck to a midgrade alpine deck.
quite a fucking difference.
post something that helps me, jackass.

alot of companies have different ways of testing and claiming different numbers..
and if ure saying that the dualmags are just as good as any components....i guess u havent heard much...
and maybe im not the only that used to have comps all around..

thats half the reason I got that pioneer unit.
