I played battlefield back in the day on PC.

Is there a MW3 demo out there? I may be looking over it.

I've played CoD before, but it was casually on a friend's unit, and I was drunk.

Agree with CoD, I found BF3 Beta and BC2 just as bad with snipers on the complete other end of the map picking off people...

Can someone explain to me why BF is more cooperative than COD?

(really just asking)

Played the beta of BF3 last night. A lot of fun. I just suck. Haven't played a PC FPS in a long time.

I think it's because in BF there's artillery, tanks, support vehicles etc that lead to more teamwork etc.

On the old BF game I played on PC, you could actually hop in a bomber plane and tear shit up.

The BF framerate is 30 fps, which leads to "bigger picture" stuff ie blowing up buildings, rocket launchers, air strikes etc.

COD framerate is 60 fps which is more designed for close quarters, speedy combat.

I'm siding with BF for now.

I really got into COD because of the play mode "Search and Destroy" which was team work as well, but I am curious now about BF. I really need to get the demo.

I'll play the demo some more, but the two maps I played the other night didn't have any vehicles.

When I played it a few years ago on PC, it was sweet. You could hop in a chopper and have three guys go with you. You drive, they shoot/bomb. I learned very quickly that I couldn't wander off on my own unless I was a sniper (usually wearing camo). It really seemed to be so much more strategy based than COD speedball. Because of how well everything flowed, this made the game really, really fun. I've read that the new BF will have the best of both worlds; medium-ish COD style maps, and Huge (Old BF Maps were like whole islands) maps for artillery, air craft etc.

Played the demo last night... It's alright, but there were some mechanics I didn't like. The damage system needs work... I hate how you don't feel the damage, you would just fall over dead... Without much warning
