Default Need Computer Help

So, I put my new computer together and when I turn it on, it powers up, the fans start to spin and it shuts down. Only runs for a few seconds. Any ideas?

It shuts off before it beeps. Everything is in there securely. I am thinking maybe a ground to the mobo or a bad CPU

Get a multimeter and make sure the power supply is ok.

Did you have to replace your processor or was there a heatsink problem?

It shuts off before the bios or anything posts. It shuts off before the monitor comes out of standby mode.

check if the heatsinks fan is working
is it amd or intel...with a fan or not
and if you can...try another heatsink

computers shutoff instantaneously (if a heatsink is not working) because the CPU goes to a high temp to check if the heatsink is good
