you definately need to get your facts straight about cars in general. i seem to remember a time when you rode in my car when it was bone stock and you enjoyed it. so i don't want to hear of you bitching about mustangs anymore. the people driving them, rag them all day long for all i care, but the mustang is an american legend. oh and off topic, you need to straighten up your story about us as well. and i know that you know what i'm talkin about.

Stangs don't really bother me.. I'm indifferent.. just Jersey stang drivers are the WORST. They think nothing is faster.. and they always want to race.

Yeah... basically, I don't like anyone who thinks their car is the fastest shit on the road, and they have to prove it frequently.

Mustangs are pretty nice, and the new Mach 1s are a pleasure to drive. In fact, if I could have gotten a mustang GT comprable to my GS-R for the same price, it would have been a hard decision.

But about mustang owners that are asses: There are plenty of car owners that are asses. All you can do is acknowledge that children will be children, and be done with it.

Nice to see cool Mustang owners around this board and have some serious mods to it. Around my place, Mustangs are a dime a dozen, but most of them are either 5.0Ls, 4.6Ls, or something even scarier. Not to mention most of them have insanely loud mufflers.

My neighbour down the street has a 98' GT, but claimed that he dropped in a 393ci. He has not shown me the engine, but the thing is extremely loud; whenever the guy turns on the engine, I can hear it well.

How much would a 393ci make to the wheels? ...and what the hell is a 393ci? I am thinking that it is probably a stroker motor...

In my garage, we have my father's last project (He did not finish it before he passed away). It's a black 1950 Ford Coupe with a tuned/chipped 93 mustang 5.0 engine with a custom exhaust. This monster IS the sexiest sounding car evah.

Mustangs, and well tuned mustang engines at that, can be nice. As with us imports, it all depends on the owner and their attention to detail

393 cubic inches = roughly 6.2L without me pulling out a calculator and is based on a 351 block (5.8L).

It all depends on the heads, cam, and intake that he chose as to how much power it will or won't make. An engine that big needs some serious heads, a serious cam, and a serious intake to breathe and extract full potential. You could figure it will make anywhere from 300rwhp with an utter crap head/cam/intake combo to somewhere well over 500rwhp with a "serious" heads/cam/intake combo.

To give you a ROUGH idea of what that engine COULD do, there's a guy with a Fox at our track who has a 393 in his. It's built up pretty good and on slicks (I think 10.5 wide) it runs in the mid 6s in the 1/8.

By the way, if you won't show you the engine he's probably 100% full of shit. If I went through all the trouble of swapping all the necessary hardware to run a Windsor based motor in my '98 (which is alot of work...almost everything is different from Modular Motor including all transmission, accessories, k-member, tranny mounts, etc) then I damn sure would pop the hood every time I stopped.

Any Mustang with an off-road mid pipe and Flowmasters and turndowns is going to be ungodly loud.

That is not enough for your EX to beat a ford mustake v6........sounds kind of slow if you ask me .........v6 stangs are not fast..........the V8s would rape me........i beat v6 stangs enough to talk shit about v6 stangs.........i don't fock with any V8's..........sorry to here you car got focked up

i really dont think stang owners should bash on imports. iam an accord owner now and this the first time ive been through this section, but before my accord i had a 95 Legend GS 6spd supercharged V6 with a Jackson racing kit with the regular bolt ons and upgraded internals. i took v8's like there was no tomorrow. i have video of some of my victims, id put it up only if i knew how and if my computer wasnt trippin all the damn time. my topend was 183, ET @ 11.07, and my best domestic kill was a 2004 SRT Viper. unfortunately that fucker was too jealous to loose like a man and had my car stolen, stripped, then set on fire in the middle of a field. sure v8's are fast and fun but as for mustangs, they are everywhere and its really not fun to work on one when the old lady down the street has one too. now days there arent many people that build their engines either. alot of people that just wanna go fast already from when they buy a car get a V8. now V8's are like tampons, every pussy needs one. why dont all you import haters try building a motor and make it fast instead of bashing every one who dont got a v8. the only reason ur fast is cus u already bought your car fast.
