I have a lot of respect for any person with any vehicle that put their time, effort, money, and heart into it. What I don't like is people who give imports a bad name by streetracing, speeding, playing cat and mouse in traffic ETC. And what I don't like about domestics is that they have a stock v8 and insult imports. Oh, and I personally think stock v6 stangs aren't that impressive either(I saw something about it on page 1). But yea, this guys v6 is gonna be friggen killer. Because he did put time and money into it, tastefully.



At N E Dragway on Saturday. The stangs go their asses handed to them all day. But I think they were all stock 6's.

 

Hate not the car, but hate the driver. Most of the time the ricers that hate domestics have either :

A. Continually lost multiple races to a domestic or
B. Have never ridden in one/driven one.

I have had 3 Mustangs (still own my '65... http://www.cardomain.com/ride/451141 ) and I love them all. I currently own an Integra, I also love this car as it is very fun to drive.

Can't we all just get along?

Most of the time people with domestics that hate imports either:

A. Don't like the fact that something with 1/2 the cylinders as their mustang can make just as much power.

B. Are disgruntled that imports can fill up on 25$ and get 30mpg.

C. Domestics are for the most part out of the spot light performance wise and economy wise.

87-91 mustangs used to be my favorite car untill a small group of people ruined them for me.

 

Wow... I thought this argument was null and void now... at least for the last couple years... Oh well...

I like imports. I want one. But I also like my mustang as well. I bought it because of it's potential, not what it had, because I wanted to work on it to make it faster than what it was.

For those that say a stock 99-04 Mustang GT is fast, I beg to differ. Yes it may be a V8, but at 215~ RWHP it's not all that fast. (15% of 260)

I had to do a few intake and exhaust mods in order to make just shy of 260 RWHP and I still get beat by imports. Then again, those cars that do beat me have much more money invested into the car.

I hear it all the time.... "I have <insert mod list here> done to my car and I beat <insert random stock 250-400hp car here>." Well, try putting the same amount of money in any given car and see what happens. Sure I can swap my engine with an 03 cobra and do an ungodly amount of mods to it to make it well over 1000hp and smoke anything. So?

It's not about what you drive, or what you have done to it, well as long as you're doing something because stock sucks, it's all about having that love for your car, working on your car, and having the pride to show it off. That's it.
