Default Team BOB vs.pool

http://www.living-pool.eu/english/vi...ving_pool.html

The Living Pool looks like a conventional pool but is in fact a fully-fledged biological pool. The Biotop Living Pool requires absolutely no chlorine or other chemicals and offers the ultimate in swimming enjoyment in crystal clear water.

my brother in law's parents have a heated swimming pool. when they first moved in they used the heater. they stopped using it when their power bill the following month was something like 5000 dollars.

Unless they have an olympic size pool that they were heating through the winter in Michigan, they're doing it wrong.

+1 make no sense.

Most pools here are heated.

I like the salt water pools... it's leave a weird soft feeling on your skin.

5000 doesn't sound outrageous to me. if you run the pool heater 24/7 for a month i'll bet it'll be easily 5000. my uncle has a house with a pool and they only run the heater for 1 to 2 days a week max for 2-3hrs during the summer (doesn't get used during the other seasons). his electric bills goes up to about 800bucks (at the current rates) during the summer. he doesn't use the ac during the summer, his reasoning is that he "heats" the pool so you can use it, so when you're hot gtfo and use the damn pool :chuckles:

Heating a pool is stupid.

Seriously you get a pool so you can cool off in the summer and get exercise when its hot, if you heat it (granted not hot but still) then why bother? If you get cold it means you aren't moving around enough to get your blood pumping to keep you warm and again its a waste.

If you want a heated pool just buy a fucking hot tub so your lazy ass doesn't get cold on a hot day.

I know when I go swim at the river or lake it sure as hell isn't heated and I stay plenty comfortable.
