from what i understand turbo is more beneficial to the OBD O motors, the OBD 1 motors are also decent, but OBD II makes it tough. OBD II started for miata and most cars in 1996...so most people reco the 1995 or early for that reason.

all those mid life / gay comments are a misconception, its really ALL across the board in terms of age. Age range on miataforum runs from 16 to 85. 35 is about the mid range, but mid to late 20's have a fair amount too. as far as women, i would say 70-80% of the miata board is men, but this board certainly wouldn't suffer from more intelligent female members.
