my school forced java on us for the first two years... then we got 1/3 a quarter of C++ and were thrown into C++ ONLY classes. i hate my school...

java is basically all about object oriented programming, and is a lot easier than C++. but its very limited in certain ways. its a good langauge to start on, because of those reasons. the two are similar, but once you take a few classes of each you'll realize the differences...

is it cplusplus or csharpsharp? my brother keeps telling me its csharpsharp
your brother is a dumbshit. C++ is "C plus plus". why the **** would anyone think that the "+" sign translates to "sharp"??? microsoft uses "C#" for "C-sharp", because the # is roughly the symbol for a 'sharp' note in music, which is basically half step up. honestly, slap your brother silly...

I started in highschool with c++, then in college had ADA, then went back to C, then had C++ again... so needless to say, I know the basics of c and c++ pretty well.
