I guess it's cause people are abusing the hell out of their AWD cars like they would on a RWD/FWD car. The tranny is put under a lot more stress on the AWD car...

oh thats bullshit, ill be damned if i was paying for that myself. if its under warranty they get to fix it. they market it as a tough car, they better stand behind it like it is.

if the guy willfully abused the car (of course the definition of that varies) then I don't see why mitsu should cover it.
